Hello everyone. I hope your year has been off to a good start. It’s been a while, and I couldn’t be away from you all another minute longer. How goes life?
Clarksville, where I live, is in for some hellish weather. We are expecting 1 inch of ice and 3 inches of snow tomorrow. I know that stores, especially Walmarts, are packed, as well as their shelves on empty with people buying like crazy in preparation. People in my city go nuts over one inch of snow. Do I still have to come into work- of course. I work in a hospital, a place that never closes. I’ll have to go to wake up a earlier than I usually do to avoid he storm hitting me while on the road. If worst comes to worst I may have to spend the night in the hospital. Hopefully there are available rooms for me and all the other employees. I’ll be bringing a change of clothes and other overnight supplies. Please pray for me,
Tuesday was my mother’s 57th birthday. Normally, it’s a challenge trying to find her a gift because she says she has everything. But had the perfect present in mind. I almost got this for her as a Christmas gift, but I had just seen it online at the last minute when all my shopping was done. Both me, my mom, and Dad are huge Star Trek fans- from the original series to the reboots. I thought, what better gift than one that reminds us of one of our favorite franchises. I got her a Star Trek Pizza cutter, one of the Enterprise NCC 1701.

New year, new header imager for my blog. You like? I love it, because it’s me- pictures, spiritual guidance, music, reading, blogging, and my belief in a God in Heaven.

I love getting absorbed in a good book. For the last two weeks I have been spending lunch breaks and other free time from work reading John Green’s “Turtles All the Way Down”. So far I’m really digging it. My favorite book by Green to this day is The Fault in Our Stars. If memory serves me I once got a little misty eyed one college day as I was reading on a bench. Green’s other books are good, but the main characters, the male leads in particular, don’t make the best choices in my opinion. Quentin, from Paper Towns, missed his graduation for the sake of finding a girl who he had the hots over , whom we learn later didn’t want to be found. Colin, in Abundance of Katherines, was killing me with his anagrams and his obsession with women with the name ‘Katherine’. Any person who pursues someone with the same name of his former flames is probably setting themselves up for failure. Granted the characters are teenagers, but I don’t recall ever being this foolish during those years.

One of my goals this year is to vacation and travel more. I might go on a cruise with my brother sometime this year. We just have to figure out when. I’ll be fun. If it happens, best believe I’m take plenty of picture and talking about my experience with all of you.
This just in- yet another celebrity gets accused of sex harassment. Who is it this time- Stan Lee. I’m glad actual victims of such crimes are coming forth about being violated by whoever, but I question some of these accusers. If I’m wrong about Lee, than I’m wrong, but I don’t believe the accusations against him are true. Stan Lee is 95 years old, and for as I have been alive I don’t see anything history of him doing anything like this.(How many people are blessed to live that long.) Also, not too long ago the man lost his wife. I can only imagine what that feels like. God rest her soul. Leave the man alone, that’s what I have to say. For all we know it could all be false accusations from someone just looking for a big fat check, because let’s be honest, with all the comics; films, shows; etc., he has a hand in, he is far from broke. No I’m not trying to disrespect anyone who has ever been harassed, so please don’t make war in the comment section.
Yesterday and today after work I went to vacuum and sweep the church for my dad. I might have to end up doing it once a week for the rest of the month, and I’m cool with it. Why, because I have more free time since my hours changed, and taking care of God’s house shouldn’t be a burden, even if not everybody wants to lend a hand. Having the church to myself was a good excuse to sing at the top of my lungs, my voice bouncing off the walls throughout the building.
I’m going to look through some blogs and then call it a night. Be safe, and please pray for me as I endure hazard weather. Goodnight.
