Blogging Challenge- Day 8: Biggest Pet Peeves

Hey friends and family. Told y’all I’d be back. While I don’t usually say anything out loud to perpetrators, there are quite a few things people do that make me want to slap someone outside their head.

Loud, Public Cellphone Can’t your lower your voice or go take your call elsewhere? I don’t care to hear you laughing like a hyena, cursing up a storm, or sweet talking to your boo. There are other people in the room. Are we just supposed to act like we don’t hear everything you’re saying?

Two or more people talking to me at the same time One at a time is all I ask. If there are two voices coming at me at the same time I can’t decide who I should be listening to. Also, two multiple voices going at once are bound to get mixed up in my ear, and your message will not sink in for me at all.

People who interrupt We all want to be heard. We all want to have the mic during a conversation. But you can wait your turn. Too often, someone cuts across my words, assuming I’m finished or trying to finish my sentences themselves. If you try to guess what I’m trying to say, 90 percent of the time you’ll be wrong. All I ask is to be patient with me, just as patient as I am with you.

Backseat Driving. If I don’t know where I’m supposed to turn or where the destination is, I will ask you if you’re riding with me. There is no need for you to tell me to turn here or there, or slow down when I’m doing the speed limit. It especially grinds my gears when that person critiquing you doesn’t even have a license, much less a car. Unless I ask or unless we have a near hit, I would appreciate it if you would stop telling me what to do. If it makes you feel better, I always say a prayer before I hit the roads. Who better to let take the wheel than the son of God.

What are your biggest pet peeves? Let me below whenever you get the opportunity.  Later. God Bless!

I was born on January 31, 1992. I graduated from Austin Peay State University in December 2015 with a B.S. My major was Communications, with a concentration in Print & Web Journalism. My minor was English, with a concentration in Creative Writing. Writing is my passion. I’m a book lover. I prefer to to be called a Booklion rather than a bookworm. Why- lions are mightier.
My first love is Jesus Christ. I was raised in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. No we are not a cult. We are Christians who worship on Saturday.
I have been stuttering since I was four, but through Christ I have persevered through it and will continue to do so. I’m not thing with Him.
Singing is another passion of mine. God blessed with me with the gift of song, which I am grateful for.

Once again I have to agree with your list, lol! Since I started learning how to drive in the past year the most annoying thing that has happened to me whilst driving was probably when I was in the car with both my parents and my Uncle. They were all giving me directions on how to get to my Uncle’s at the same time. There were multiple ways to get to his house so they were each telling me how to get there a slightly different way! The ironic part is each of them knew that I knew how to get to his house as he has lived there for years now. Halfway there I asked them if just one person could give me directions please, as it’s getting really confusing. So my Dad decided he would be the one and only one giving me directions. Ironically my Dad forgot what street my Uncle lived on but thankfully I remembered. Anyway when we got to his house they were all laughing so it was all good. I thought it was a little annoying in the moment but looking back and towards the end it was just really funny! Hope you have a great day. ❤❤❤
