Good morning friends and family. I was going to wait till Monday to post this, but I couldn’t wait that long. I want to speak to you as much as possible. What better way to talk and minister than on this day of rest. I would like to introduce you to a new blog segment- Music Moves Me. If you don’t know me by now, music has and will forever be a part of me. From singing in the shower to ministering through song whenever I’m requested.
When I first started my job last month as a Distribution Clerk at Tennova Healthcare, the patient diet information felt like a foreign language. Unfamiliar areas of the hospital felt like maze. I felt like my speed was like that of a sloth. One day I wanted to curse out loud because I was so heated. It was so overwhelming. I felt like I was getting in the way of my coworkers who had it all down. How can I possibly do this every week, I thought. To be fair, I had only been working the job for a couple of days. My biggest critic has always been myself.
Along with prayer and encouragement, one of the things that helped me to get through the cart pushing; food prepping; and floor stocking was singing a particular song- “He’s Able” by Paul E. Paino.
“He’s able, He’s able,
I know he’s able,
I know my Lord is able to carry me through.
(Repeat)
He healed the broken hearted
And set the captive free,
He made the lame to walk again
And caused the blind to see.
He’s able, He’s able,
I know He’s able,
I know my Lord is able
To carry me through.”
If you need a demonstration on how it goes, look no further. Yes, in this video I was in a restroom, the church restroom to be exact. I was in there because the acoustics were wonderful. No bathroom jokes please.
I’m not a whiz at the new position now, but I can say that the job has gotten a lot easier. I found a routine. I know where most of everything is, and I know what needs to prepared and when. I sing this song everyday during my shift now.
If God is able to heal the sick; make the blind to see; mend broken hearts; make the lame to walk; and free the captive, surely He is able to do anything like pull you through a new job.
What has God carried you through?
God bless.
