Hello everyone. I hope you are doing good. For some including myself yesterday was a day of worship. To others today is a day to worship. What better way to further your worship then celebrating Bible Sunday.
According to an article I came upon, Bible Sunday is celebrated the Sunday before Thanksgiving. It was created by the American Bible Society in 1915. It is a time to celebrate the oldest, most translated book in all of history as well as encourage worldwide Bible distribution. To many the Bible is more than just a book of tales, but also a book of history; origin; life guidelines; hope; and a way of connecting to a comforting and loving deity.
In honor of bible Sunday I am going to share some of my favorite scriptures with you.
“For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity.” – Proverbs 24:16
I love this scripture because it encourages me that no matter how many times I may sin, I can always get back up and do better.
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”- Philippians 4:13
If there are any words that have kept me going strong in my daily life it is these words. With Christ at my side I can handle stress, persevere through my speech, and take a hard day’s work.
“In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth”- Genesis 1:1
Satan made have his clutches in this world, but this world is still very much the Lord’s. You can see it in His creations, from every fruitful tree to every deep ocean.
“And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord?”- Exodus 4:11
The Lord spoke these words to Moses after he explained that he couldn’t speak against the Pharoah of Egypt to let the Israelites out of slavery. God reassured Moses that He would be with him as he spoke, just as God is with me whenever I speak.
