Good morning friends and family, and Happy Sabbath. I just wanted to wish you all a good day. I ask you all to be safe and Happy this weekend.
As you can see I am dressing my best on this day.
I post a lot of selfies, but the ones for Sabbath are particularly special for me. Though we are encouraged to come to God’s house as we are, I am all for putting on your best garments if you have them. One might accuse me of dressing for vanity or trying swoon someone. But I it is the opposite. I dress up for church because I want to dress my best for my loving Savior. Two, putting on something nice makes me feel good about myself. Three, it’s a cultural thing. Black folk can do it up for church! ✊🏾😄 Four, I was brought up in a household where wearing jeans to the church service was not an option.
