Hey guys I hope you’re all having a really good day. Yesterday was a special day at Tennova Healthcare. In celebration of the physicians for all their hard work, we had a Rock the 80s event in which the physicians were invited to dress 80s style. I was invited to participate as well, since I stock their physicians’ lounge and serve them every day. By the pictures, you can probably guess who I went as.

Mr. Purple Rain himself, the late Prince. You thought I was dead? To quote Mushu from the Disney film Mulan, “I LIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!!!” I played the role of entertainment by singing a couple of songs for all those in attendance. I also so boldly busted out some dance moves, which at one moment resulted in my wig falling off. That thing was a sauna on my head anyway, so not so embarrassing. It’s not easy doing that jump that Prince used to do in his stylish heels. Jumping in high heels is how he messed his legs up. Best believe I stuck with wearing my Stacy Adams.

Doing this brought me back to my high school show choir days. I think about those times often. All the sweating, bonding with choir members, the long rehearsals, and seeing everything come together on our traditional Cabaret Nights. I wasn’t expecting people to be as excited and shocked as they were seeing me in Prince attire. Many wanted their picture taken of me. Also, also some folks in Rehab requested that I come up and sing for them as well. I’m happy that everyone had a good time. Hopefully I’ll have a video to show you soon.
