It has been a blessed learning experience throughout the years to participate, facilitate, and learn about an array of spiritual activities to keep all ages engaged in learning about the one who gave His life for us, and about His book. I thank my parents, friends, church family, and those who are gracious enough to share their ideas online. I must also praise the one who gives us all the ideas. I feel called by the spirit to pass these ideas on, so that others may have some spiritual fun with their young and with their church family as I have.
The activity I’ll be sharing today is the link by link, yard by yard Bible Chain Game.
What you will need: scissors; tape; pens; Bibles; paper;(some precut in strips to save time), a timer

How to play: The host, with an open bible concordance, will choose a single word found in the Bible for both teams to search for scriptures with that particular word. Example: “light”. Both teams get the same word. Under five minutes, both teams search their bible and concordances for scriptures with the word given by the host. The complete verse and where it is found must be written on a strip of paper. Try to write small if you find long scriptures to save yourself space. Create chain links with those paper strips until time is up. Onto the next round: different word, same time limit, keep adding link by link to the same chain.

Goal: By the end of the game, have as many connected links than the other team/opponents to be declared the winner.

Purpose: Team building, fellowship, spiritual growth, learning how to use a bible concordance, learning scripture.
At the end of the game anyone can take their scripture chain with them, or they can put them on display somewhere within the church.

Thank you for reading. Remember, learning and engaging in Christ can be fun.
