July Goals

Sweet July, like any other month you are ticking away. In spite of hours slipping, there is no better time to express my goals for the remainder of what is left of this ol month.

Enjoy Being A Fiancé I accomplished my goal of proposing so there goes one goal down. Courtni and I have decided that we don’t want to jump into the wedding planning until a month has passed. Neither one of us knows a thing about planning for a event such as this, so we are both equally curious about what the heck we are going to do. One of my supervisors explained to me that that’s what makes the process fun. What matters is the end result- the two of us will be married. I just learned yesterday what the purpose of a best man and a maid of honor is. Both roles seem like quite the responsibility. If you think about it both titles are practically one step behind the bride and and groom. I’ll enjoy the planning with my fiancée, but I see myself being the person who researches and analyzes everything. The more I learn the better.

Be A Better Time Manager One of the issues that I have in life is deciding on what task to do before the other. Do I blog right now or should I read? Do I iron these clothes or sweep and mop? Do I make that phone call now or tomorrow morning?

Get Eight Hours of Sleep This could definitely be a challenge since I show up home late for my job, and I already have troubling turning my mind off so to speak. I can’t put away my thoughts right away when I’m first cozied up in my bed. I could try to squeeze in a nap before I hit the road for the commute to work.

Workout Daily I am seeking to do a body transformation for the big day(the wedding day). I have not been to a gym since they were first shut down because of the pandemic. Though Planet Fitness is open to the public now, I don’t want to take that risk knowing prior to this craziness that not everyone sanitized the exercise machines after using them. Crazy to think every person would do any differently because of a virus. Im going to find a nice home daily workout routine to do to bulk up.

Blog More If I can’t do this everyday let me at least be able to do it once. Let me not be hesitant especially to share something about the One who unlocks my mind. And let me show love to all those who still glance at my work, despite me being absent from my platform for days and weeks.

Live for Christ May this always be one of my goals. May I believe that I am worthy to be loved by God. May I continue to be led by Him. May I not let my worries run my life.

By David Harris

I was born on January 31, 1992. I graduated from Austin Peay State University in December 2015 with a B.S. My major was Communications, with a concentration in Print & Web Journalism. My minor was English, with a concentration in Creative Writing. Writing is my passion. I’m a book lover. I prefer to to be called a Booklion rather than a bookworm. Why- lions are mightier.
My first love is Jesus Christ. I was raised in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. No we are not a cult. We are Christians who worship on Saturday.
I have been stuttering since I was four, but through Christ I have persevered through it and will continue to do so. I’m not thing with Him.
Singing is another passion of mine. God blessed with me with the gift of song, which I am grateful for.
