Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.
My favorite pair of shoes are my black black Stacey Adams. Let’s call the left shoe “Smooth” and the right shoe “Suave”. Let’s seewhere this dapper pair has taken me.

Smooth and Suave must be on a mission from God, for they take me to his House nearly every seventh day of the week. Whether I’m a little late or not, as least this pair gets me to me where I should be. Often time these shoes are my foundation for my jelly knees when I nervously get up to sing praises before my congregation.
On December 11, 2015, Smooth and Suave strutted with me across a stage for college graduation at the Dunn Center of Austin Peay State University

Smooth and Suave boldly helped me be the late musician Prince for a day, so I could perform before a bunch of doctors, and faculty and staff at my old job at Tennova Healthcare.

You’ll probably find Smooth and Suave in a couple..if not too many selfies.

Bless Smooth and Suave for the special mission they were chosen for on July 3, 2020. That afternoon, after about three outfit changes I laced these boys… men on my feet, and we moved out. Destination: Starbucks. Significance: the place where Courtni and I first sat and talked together in person. Tools for this mission: God; my voice; and tint blue box housing a silver ring with a diamond. Objective: proposal. Smooth and Suave kept my quaking body centered and balanced as I was down on one knee, serenading, and holding out the ring for my soon to be wife.

When I will retire Smooth and Suave from service remains to be seen, but until that time I look forward to more memories with this fine pair of shoes.
Be Well. Be Groovy. Thanks for reading.
