Hello friends and family. I’ve missed you. What better way to greet you than with a little caffeine pumping through my veins, for today is International Coffee Day .

Coffee and I have an interesting relationship. I don’t sip it everyday like water, but at the same time I don’t abstain from it like alcohol. Why?
My current job is over an hour and 15 minutes from home. My shift starts at 9:30 am. The estimated time of arrival is never the same because I get caught in traffic caused by road work, school zones, at least one accident to or from work, and unpredictable weather conditions. Gotta stay alert and wide eyed or I’ll end up wrecking myself.
The work I do requires focus and energy. You try delivering around 180 stops of packages on a route. I’m not just talking one package per stop. I’ve had to deliver around 30 packages to one stop on occasion.
When my child doesn’t get enough sleep, I get very little too. Don’t get me and the wife started on how much this child uses us bean bag chairs. Picture yourself in the early morning- eyes stinging and twitching while the rest of your body aches step by step, stretch by stretch, because you were only graced with two to four hours of sleep. Imagine not always being able to call out just because you’re exhausted.
All that being said, excuse me for having a little caffeine in my system to pull through the day.

How I like My Coffee
My favorite temperature I like my sweet nectar at is chilled, but I’m also good with something warm in the AM. I’m not into bitter drinks so I like mine a little sweet. My go to coffee if I’m on the road is Starbucks ice mocha or French vanilla.
Fun Fact
It was at a Starbucks coffee shop that my wife and I had our first date. At that same coffee shop, I got down on one knee and put a ring on it. Don’t worry. No rings were hid in coffee cups.

I don’t recommend replacing water with coffee, as too much of anything is not good for the body. Yes I know the dangers of too much caffeine. Try to get as much rest in as you can. When you can’t, I do understand if you need a little caffeine to keep your eyes open on the road or to stay energized so you can make a paycheck. Whether you’re into the cold stuff or the warm stuff, I tip my nectar to you.
Happy International Coffee Day!
Thanks for stopping by!
