Blogging Challenge- Day 26: People I Admire And Why

Evening everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful day. I had a rather good day for a Monday. I got in and out of work on time, and I was blessed with a blog post idea. Best believe I got started writing as soon and I was on my lunch break. I look forward to sharing it with you.

Today’s topic is another good one. The only problem is I have a lot of people who I admire. Names to numerous to mention, so I’ll just give you a few. If I don’t mention you, don’t take it personal.

Dad My father is one of the best speakers that I know. He isn’t afraid say what’s on his mind, and he could care less if people don’t like what he has to say. When he gives you his advice or just speaks his mind he doesn’t sugar coat anything, yet at the same time he isn’t nasty about it. Dad is also one of the hardest working people that I know. Seeing him bust his tail from Walmart life to days under the hot sun with our Lawncare business encourages me to work just as hard and not do things halfway through.

Mom What I admire about my mother is her cooking skills. To this day I love everything she makes. Best of luck to me in finding a woman who can cook half as good as she can. I also admire her creativity and ideas she puts into all of our church socials. Even if there isn’t a high attendance at our socials, those who are there really appreciate the work she puts into them. I like to think some of my own creativity comes from her.

Bianca aka ‘My Best Friend” This is me talking about you on my blog, Bianca, which you’re constantly suggesting, so here you go.

Bianca is a friend in Bronx, New York who I talk to as much as possible, if not more than anyone. I admire her because of her beautiful Antiguan accent, and because she’s just an all around cool person. If it weren’t for the long distance between us, we would definitely be hanging out every week, If I ever need someone to talk about my day with, if I’m down in the dumps; or just need someone to share some good news with, she’s the first person I’ve hit up.

Gabrielle Henderson Gabby is one of the most kindest people I know. The girl also has long hair that reminds me of Rapunzel, and I don’t see her ever cutting it short. We’ve grown up in the church together and she also happens to be my cowriter. We’ve written a couple of poems together. We’re currently revising a story we wrote over two years ago. If I ever need advice for something I’ve written on my own she is always willing to give her honest opinion.

Jesus I admire this guy because he admires me, even if I don’t feel like I’m worthy to be admired. I admire how Jesus treated people during his time on Earth. He was compassionate towards those who needed his help. He didn’t think he was too good to be around despised people such as prostitutes and tax collectors. Most of all, he was a loving person.
Who do you admire, and why?

Thanks for reading!

By David Harris

I was born on January 31, 1992. I graduated from Austin Peay State University in December 2015 with a B.S. My major was Communications, with a concentration in Print & Web Journalism. My minor was English, with a concentration in Creative Writing. Writing is my passion. I’m a book lover. I prefer to to be called a Booklion rather than a bookworm. Why- lions are mightier.
My first love is Jesus Christ. I was raised in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. No we are not a cult. We are Christians who worship on Saturday.
I have been stuttering since I was four, but through Christ I have persevered through it and will continue to do so. I’m not thing with Him.
Singing is another passion of mine. God blessed with me with the gift of song, which I am grateful for.
