Hello friends and family. How’s it going? I just wanted to share with you what God has done for me this week, if that’s alright with you. I think I’m so blessed sometimes.
This afternoon, as I was on the computer Netflixing and chilling on my day off, the phone rang. I grudgingly turned to my phone, thinking it was yet another salesman ready to run his mouth over some product. Instead my eyes gleamed when the caller ID read “PARIS POST INTELL.”. The Paris Post Intelligencer is a newspaper publication in Paris, Tennessee that I applied for last month.
The man on the phone said he wanted to interview me for the news reporter position I applied for, assuming I was still interested. I answered “yes”. The interview is set for next Friday. I’m just happy and thankful that someone is taking a chance on me. Hopefully the interview goes well. If I do get the job, I pray I can give the job my all just as I have done with previous jobs. I also want to pray that my speech will not be an issue at all. Please pray for me.
This week I took some flyers with me to work. The flyers were about a seminar my church is doing this month. I didn’t go up to anyone trying to force God down their throats like certain people do. I just left them in random places such as benches, tables, and bathrooms.
Later that day, someone approached me and said, “So you’re the one whose been leaving these around”. At first I was expecting an accusing “Who do you think you are?,” but I got a different response. The man was grateful. He said him finding the flyer in the restroom felt like a sign from God. He explained that lately he had been asking one of his loved ones questions that were on the flyer, like why there is so much suffering in the world. Also, he said he was going through a bit of a tough time. I told him that I would pray for him and whatever he might be facing. Will this person attend the seminars- I don’t know. But I’m happy that God placed me at the right place at just the right time.
One of my good friends will be going with me to church tomorrow. I can finally cross Inviting Someone to Church off my “Hopes & Goals” List. In my entire life I have never had one of my friends go with me to church. That’s just because I never made an effort to. Growing up, I guess I just figured nobody would want to because the idea of somebody going to church on Saturdays instead of Sunday seemed weird. Throughout my life, not many people I’ve spoken to briefly about my faith knew what a Seventh Day Adventist was. My mom told me someone asked if we were a cult. I shouldn’t be afraid to share my faith with others though. To me it’s more than a religion. It’s a part of me:
I hope everyone has a good weekend. God Bless.

We have a lot of Seventh Day Adventist churches here in the PH though I’m not really familiar with the religion’s practices. One thing I’m sure of is we both honour God. ❤ And good luck on the interview, David. You’ll smash it!
