May The Fourth Be With You

Star Wars: BB-8’s Vacay

Tormented by the unanswered questions about the Force and Rey’s heritage, and bored with pointless subplots with Finn and Rose, the droid BB-8 breaks away from the Resistance to take a break. He goes far, far away to Earth, where he meets blogger David Harris, a hardworking, talented man who seeks to make it big as a blogger. Sympathizing with the droid’s troubles, Harris invites BB-8 to go on a cruise with him and his eldest brother. Writing about a vacation with a Star Wars favorite- why not? Can David come up with a blog post that will grab the eyes of all Earth? Can the droid be convinced of not leaving The Resistance indefinitely, before trouble comes?

I am probably going to get talked about for doing this. 😂😂😂 I thought it would be funny. Honestly, my mouth dropped when I saw that little droid sitting right in front of the salad bar at work. It made my morning. I had to get a picture from my friend Michele, who brought the droid, as well as gave the idea to deck out the hospital dining area in Star Wars decorations. Michele, if you’re reading this, good job!

Hope everyone had a good day. Apologies if I haven’t been reading everyone’s work as much.!I will continue to read your work. May the fourth be with you!!

By David Harris

I was born on January 31, 1992. I graduated from Austin Peay State University in December 2015 with a B.S. My major was Communications, with a concentration in Print & Web Journalism. My minor was English, with a concentration in Creative Writing. Writing is my passion. I’m a book lover. I prefer to to be called a Booklion rather than a bookworm. Why- lions are mightier.
My first love is Jesus Christ. I was raised in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. No we are not a cult. We are Christians who worship on Saturday.
I have been stuttering since I was four, but through Christ I have persevered through it and will continue to do so. I’m not thing with Him.
Singing is another passion of mine. God blessed with me with the gift of song, which I am grateful for.
