This scripture was suggested to me by my beautiful woman, who too is a believer. That’s a blessing. She has a tattoo that just so happens to be based off this verse, which is found in my favorite book of the Bible- Psalms. It reads,
“For you have armed me with strength for the battle; you have subdued under me those who rose against me.”- Psalms 18:39 NKJV
I take comfort knowing that God arms me with the tools that I need in the never ending battles of life, specifically on the spiritual battlefield. Those tools for me are the Bible, good music, lesson studies, or the words and wisdom of others who speak of Him. My home base, or if you want to call it a fort, is my church. My commanding officer is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
As an old church youth song goes, “I may never march in the Infantry/ ride in the Calvary/ shoot the artillery/ I may never fly over the enemy/But I’m in the Lord’s army/ YES SIR!”.
In every battle that you face; whether it be lust; drugs and alcohol; depression; suicide; poverty; marriage issues; or your right to worship and believe, God does not leave you without weapons and armor to fight. Speaking of armor, I know the perfect scriptures to share with you all tomorrow. Come back then and you will find out. Thanks for reading.
God Bless!
