Seven Day Scriptures: Day 6

Good morning everyone. I’m so happy that it’s Friday. It’s my last day of work before Monday, and I especially look forward to sunsets on Fridays when I go to Vespers service and welcome in the Sabbath.

“Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, ‘I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked” – 2: 3- 6 NKJV

I talk a great deal about Christ on my blog, but can I truly say that I know Him when I don’t follow His law or live as He lived when He was in flesh as I am. I’m blessed that he is able to forgive.

Jesus’s life was truly a model for us all. He helped others who were in need. He befriended everyone, even those who seemed like low life in society. He resisted temptation. He had a smile that warmed other. Though I can’t be perfect and unblemished as an innocent lamb like Christ, I can make an effort to try to live as appropriately as he did. As I was expressing last night to a loved one, I desire to say that I know Him and that I belong to Him.

Do you know Him?

God Bless.

By David Harris

I was born on January 31, 1992. I graduated from Austin Peay State University in December 2015 with a B.S. My major was Communications, with a concentration in Print & Web Journalism. My minor was English, with a concentration in Creative Writing. Writing is my passion. I’m a book lover. I prefer to to be called a Booklion rather than a bookworm. Why- lions are mightier.
My first love is Jesus Christ. I was raised in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. No we are not a cult. We are Christians who worship on Saturday.
I have been stuttering since I was four, but through Christ I have persevered through it and will continue to do so. I’m not thing with Him.
Singing is another passion of mine. God blessed with me with the gift of song, which I am grateful for.
